Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences is seeking strong interdisciplinary faculty members who have an interdisciplinary research vision that bridges different disciplines to tackle challenging problems that cross multiple fields. The candidate is expected to demonstrate scientific excellence and fit for this position. Accordingly, the candidate should demonstrate- through their published papers that they are able to build bridges across different research fields to solve challenging problems in innovative ways
- through their teaching statement that they are eager to disseminate what is fundamental and contemporary for each field and help students acquire an interdisciplinary skill-set and vision
- through their reference letters that they have established comprehensive networking by interacting with scientists from various fields and accumulated abilities to discuss ideas from alternative perspectives.

- the candidate should express in their statement of purpose how they are prepared to tailor the above-mentioned qualifications to Sabancı University’s unique teaching and research environment, wherein the intellectual diversity has been cross-fertilized thorough research and development activities inherent in each discipline.
Evaluations of the applicants will begin on January 15, 2020. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but no later than the final deadline of April 1, 2020. Sabancı University, a privately funded premier academic institution with excellent facilities, started instruction in the 1999-2000 academic year in its new state-of-the-art campus located in suburban Istanbul. The University offers 13 undergraduate programs and 46 graduate programs in three faculties (Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Management).
