The San Antonio Civil Engineer will perform engineering and design duties on a variety of site/land development projects, provide engineering analysis to support design activities, and periodically provide breakfast to his or her beloved coworkers. The engineer is expected to act as an independent thinker and active participant in solving engineering related project issues.,
• Work in a team setting with other team members as well as other design disciplines like structural, survey, and external sub consultants if necessary.
• Preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and other engineering documents.
• Assist with civil design for a variety projects including site development, drainage, utilities, bid items and specifications.
• Visit project sites to assist with data collections and construction observation duties.
• Manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing and prioritizing with attention to detail.
• Work under the supervision and mentoring of civil engineers and designers.
• Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.
• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in all aspects of Civil engineering, including: knowledge of site planning, erosion control, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, domestic water and grading designs.
• Registered EIT or P.E. in the state of Texas.
• AutoCAD skills required, Revit a plus.
• Familiarity with the San Antonio market a plus.
