Responsibilities:
Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions that meet business needs. Responsible for managing and maintaining IT relationships with customers in one or more business functions. Understands and documents business needs and business capability requirements and helps create and manage business capability roadmaps. Plays a key governance role in managing and prioritizing demand from the business to IT.
Manages the process of completing IT project requests and business cases. Leads resolution of enterprise-level business issues requiring IT leadership, assisting business in understanding of capabilities available through technology. Takes on new, complex business problems, understands and defines the problem statement, analyzes possible scenarios, documents process workflows and proposes solutions. Actively participates in business discussions and represents IT in business strategic planning. Is accountable to the business and senior IT leadership for the success of IT project portfolio as IT relating to their area.
The primary responsibility of this position is to be a strategic partner to the business, providing thought leadership and working with the IT organization to deliver and maintain technical solutions that achieve business and financial objectives.
Responsibilities include: building strategic partnerships within assigned business units and acting as trusted advisors for business/ IT strategy development and alignment, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. Possesses broad and widely applicable technical, analytical, and organizational skills that can be used in a variety of roles within IT. Utilizes skills, experience, and business knowledge to provide deep functional consulting to the business by identifying business needs and translating them into IT solutions. Extremely skilled at building relationships and negotiating outcomes that benefit all parties.
Other responsibilities include: Acts as the primary point of contact for shared services IT, SaaS partners and internal solutions across business functions; champions and helps solve new, ambiguous problems, understands and defines the problem statement, analyzes possible scenarios, documents workflows and proposes solutions; assists the business in understanding capabilities available through technology; continually drives optimization of the application portfolio; works closely with the CIO on IT strategy and with the IT infrastructure/national applications shared services teams and architecture group to align business and IT strategies.
Requirements:EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems and/or Business Administration.EXPERIENCE: 7 plus years of experience in IT and/or applicable business function, some of IT in a similar role with demonstrated relationship building skills resulting in traceable, measurable, impactful results.COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced computer skillsCOMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills required.SPECIAL SKILLS (if applicable):SUPERVISORY: Will be responsible for supervising or influencing other associates who perform similar duties.
TRAVEL: Primarily interfacing with team at the Corporate Office in Indianapolis, Indiana. 12+ trips per year may apply as the role interfaces with teams that provide services in the field with our customers.This is an animated dialog which is useful for displaying information.
