We are currently looking for a Senior Project Controls Engineer to join our team!
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for projects during the proposal stage.
• Prepare Project Initiation Forms work charge numbering system and contract changes.
• Establish budget control accounts and approved baseline.
• Maintain project cost records of forecasts and budgets.
• Manage accrual estimates and submittal to monitor incurred cost.
• Perform cost to complete forecasting.
• Administer the monthly invoice cycle, coordinate with project management to review draft invoices, process Time Charge adjustments, correct voucher/journal entries and finalize invoices.
• Prepare financial reports, forms and vouchers for client submittal in conjunction with invoices.
• Monitor provisional versus actual billing rates for cost reimbursement type government contracts and prepare overhead reconciliation and rate adjustment invoices.
• Develop and maintain schedules on large and complex projects.
• Perform productivity and unit rate analyses on construction and remediation projects.
• Support the determination of work in place for accrual reporting.
• Identify and analyze cost and schedule trends and variances to the project baselines.
• Carry out monthly deliverables to internal and external clients, including resource and staff plan updates, earned value metrics, production and internal cost reporting and forecasting, etc.
• Prepare project financial analysis for determining project booking positions on a quarterly basis, including monitoring and providing early recognition of changes and potential changes to margin and backlog levels.
• Perform in-depth budget and risk analyses and earned value management implementation and oversight.
• Prepare revenue, cost, cash flow, and margin reports for project and company use.
• Perform various duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.• 10-15 years of applicable experience in Project Financial Administration, Cost Accounting, Contract Administration or a related field.• Prior supervisory experience preferred.• Familiarity and experience with various contract types is expected (firm fixed price, cost reimbursable, unit rate, and time and materials).• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera is required.• Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) experience is preferred.• International project experience and field experience is a plus.• Experience with US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) Huntsville District and Department of State (DoS) is a plus.Tetra Tech, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we value workplace diversity.
