Qualified candidates are invited to apply for a full-time Research Assistant position at the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences at Zayed University, Abu Dhabi Campus, United Arab Emirates (UAE), starting from July 2019. The project will be supervised by Dr. Alya Arabi and Dr. Nadine Bou Orm.
The goal of the project is to compute binding affinities between hybrid nano-composites and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The project will be completed mainly at the density functional theory (DFT) level.
This is an opportunity for an applicant with a strong computational chemistry background or a strong combined chemistry and computer science background. The minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering. The applicant should be resident of the UAE.
