Fragomen is seeking a Graphic Designer in our Matawan, New Jersey office to support the organization’s marketing and business development function.

The responsibilities of the Graphic Designer will include:

  • Supporting the wider global marketing and business development team by creating first class visual communications across presentations, new business pitches, the website and print materials

  • Translating and positioning content and data into meaningful visual communications that are clear, engaging, sophisticated and in line with our brand guidelines and templates

  • Going beyond design aesthetics to tell a powerful story that supports the strategic goals of the specific pitch or project

  • Responding to client and marketing/business development team needs around the world as quickly as possible

The ideal Graphic Designer will have the following experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a graphic designer preferably in a legal or other professional services firm; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proven ability to create compelling visual communications using a range of technologies

  • Creative and forward thinking, with knowledge of current visual trends

  • Ability to conceptualize, synthesize and illustrate key messages that incorporate different perspectives

  • Experienced in designing for a range of media including presentations, print, screen, etc.

  • Proactive, accountable, responsive and willing to take initiative on projects

  • Cross-cultural communication skills and ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner with colleagues at all levels in all Fragomen offices worldwide

  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations requiring adherence to tight deadlines

  • Highly analytical, organized and detail-oriented, with strong proofreading skills

  • Independently driven, resourceful, proactive, and self-motivated with a "make it happen" mindset and excellent interpersonal skills

  • Accustomed to collaborating, excelling and delivering outcomes in a team environment

  • Ability to quickly develop a strong working knowledge of the firm, its practice groups, and its clients and their industry sectors

  • Willingness to see projects through from initiation to completion and work overtime as needed to do so

Technology skills

  • Advanced MS PowerPoint

  • Adobe creative suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

  • MS Office

  • Visio

  • Familiar with image sourcing sites i.e. Shutterstock

  • Experience using Digital Asset Management tool(s)

  • Experience creating videos is a plus
