Our client is a successful, well-established firm with a presence throughout New England. They have an immediate need for a Structural Engineer to join their team in a Project Manager role. In this role you will have cradle-to-grave involvement in projects of varying sizes and will have extensive client interaction through all phases of these projects.
Specific responsibilities will include
- Project management, planning, scheduling, tracking expenses, purchasing equipment
- Problem-solving, creative design engineering
- Preparing submittal packages
- Concept drawings
- Preparing O&M manuals
- Supporting other project managers
- Conducting site visits to verify dimensions prior to fabrication
- Conducting site visits to check on installers
- Working closely and communicating with clients throughout the course of the job
Background profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering either with a concentration in structural engineering or some professional experience within the structural engineering field.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
- Excellent communication skills
