As an FPGA Engineer you will be designing, implementing, and verifying new features for Network Centric Waveform (NCW) and FDMA modems. You’ll work closely with the systems group to define requirements, support system design and translate requirements into hardware architectures. In addition, taking advanced designs and work with team members to develop innovative next generation IP modems will be a part of your role along with working on complex high-speed FPGA equipment, working closely with the hardware and software group during the integration phase and design documentation and verification.
Requirements:- 5+ years related experience. We will consider engineers from senior- level (at least 5 years of experience) to senior principal-level (at least 15 years of experience)
- Proficiency in RTL (Verilog or VHDL)
- Experience with hardware debugging and validation using equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network testers and logic analyzers
- Solid digital fundamentals including timing analysis, state-machine debug and/or RTL/Test-bench development
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or other technical field
- US Citizenship. Applicants selected may be subject to security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Up to 10% travel
Preferences- Experience with PHY/MAC design and/or upper layer network protocol
- Experience with Ethernet packet processing: basic protocols, Ethernet switches and Ethernet interfaces and implementing and verifying Ethernet MAC IP and waveform bring-up
- High speed CPU and DDR3 memory interfaces, including PCIe, DMA and high speed serial buses as JESD204B
- Experience with Altera FPGA platform and strong understanding of SoC/FPGA architecture and ARM processor interface
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or other technical field
- Active Secret level clearance
