Position Description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Develop, maintain and improve processes for new and existing products
  • Develop and update engineering documents, such as instructions, drawings and test procedures
  • Review and evaluate non-conforming materials, perform root cause analysis and propose corrective/preventive actions
  • Research and qualify new suppliers and vendors
  • Investigate new tooling, materials, manufacturing processes and state-of-the-art technologies
  • Supervise and train technicians

Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Ability to understand, analyze and troubleshoot complex systems
  • Working knowledge of CAD modeling and drafting (i.e. SolidWorks)
  • Experience in designing and developing equipment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Preferences

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with automated test equipment development
  • Experience in the medical device field
  • Experience with development, analysis, evaluation, and testing of medical systems
  • Understanding of manufacturing and quality standards
  • Experience in process verification and validation procedures
