POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist with both national and regional program recordkeeping and reporting requirements for programs like the United States’ Renewable Fuel Standard 2 (RFS2), California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS), Oregon’s Clean Fuels Program, etc. This position will assist with daily/quarterly/annual reporting files, inventory management related to advanced biofuels & compliance credits like RINs/LCFS credits/etc., compliance, company policies and procedures regarding the management and reconciliation of compliance credit inventory.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Team Functions

  • Prepare daily/quarterly/annual reporting files to submit to EPA/LCFS website
  • Track and process inbound advanced biofuel purchases related to compliance credits
  • Prepare month end files for compliance credit revenue/costs for Accounting

Support Functions

  • Assist Invoicing with reverse/rebill decisions and processing
  • Provide excellent customer service to resolve questions or transaction issues
  • Assist Sales with compliance credit contracts, transfers, etc.
  • Support Commodities and Risk Management with Daily Position Report

Other frequent duties:

  • Assist with external audits
  • Perform timely routine internal auditing procedures to confirm accuracy of records
  • Stay current on ever changing regulatory environment

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: 4 year bachelor’s degree – Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related degree

Experience Required: 0-4 years

Skills Required:

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Extensive math and accounting skills

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Special skills or knowledge preferred:

Candidate for CPA Exam

Familiarity with Regulations (i.e. CFR or specific programs listed)
