Position Summary
The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University is seeking an experienced Exhibition Producer to assist with the planning and execution of exhibitions and will be responsible for coordinating work as necessary to craft excellent exhibitions within spaces.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through completion of a four-year college degree program in studio art and/or museum studies program; five years of experience working as a preparator in a museum, gallery or foundation; planning and project management skills, including time and budget estimations; excellent organizational ability, ability to lead work teams; excellent communication skills both verbal and written; a solutions-oriented, creative problem solver and team player; ability to work with multiple, overlapping deadlines, identify priorities, organize work teams to ensure project deadlines are met;knowledge of 20th-century art a plus.
Desired Qualifications
Successful candidate will have the ability to create and read shop drawings; demonstrated competency with shop/studio facilities as well as knowledge of safety procedures related to the handling of chemical solvents and adhesives; experience with fine carpentry, metal, and plastic fabrication techniques; knowledge of advanced AV installation; knowledge of design/rendering software and advanced printers; knowledge of AR/VR planning tools; ability to learn and adhere to accounting procedures for supply procurement; demonstrated fine attention to detail and refined execution of work.

Work Hours
Average hours M-F 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with some weekends. Also, expected beyond normal schedule during periods of installation/strike as necessary.
