Position Summary
Academic Specialist to provide professional development/learning support for NGSS implementation to teachers and district personnel, develop and revise instructional materials as needed. There will be some opportunity to collect data and participate in research on the processes and outcomes of the professional learning provided by the NextGen Project Based Learning initiative. This individual will also be expected to present about their work at conferences, both in and out-of-state.
Required Degree
Masters -science and/or education
Minimum Requirements
The minimum qualification for this position require an M.A. or M.S. in a science-related field, or in education with a science background.
Three to five years of science teaching
Working knowledge of the Next Generation Science Standards
