Sabancı University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, invites applicants for a full time professorship position. We seek a highly motivated scholar with good communication skills who is willing to work as part of a team. The fields of interest should preferably complement the research activities of the current group members and be suitable for initiating interdisciplinary research with other programs. The successful candidate must have a strong record and potential for top quality scholarly publications, as well as promise of outstanding teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Requirements:
1. PhD. Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or related field
2. At least 15 years of teaching experience both at the graduate and undergraduate level.
3. Recognition in the field, as evidenced by, e.g. awards in teaching and/or research, invitations as plenary speaker to internationally reknowned conferences.
4. Research areas: Data analytics, data visualization, theoretical and systems level analysis of virtual reality applications.
5. Publications: The candidate must demonstrate research excellence with published articles on the above topics, in the international journals, indexed in the Web of Science. In particular, a minimum of 16 scientific publications in the Journal Citation Reports top two quartiles or having CWTS SNIP score of 1.0 or higher; 8 of these publications must have been completed after reception of Associate Professor degree are required.
