About the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst at FarmLogs, you’ll help our organization make better decisions using data. Data is a critical part of our product, marketing, and sales processes. You will be responsible for finding insights, ensuring that data is dependable and correct, and making an impact through data-informed decisions. You will work across the entire product development timeline, from early data explorations about user behavior to experiments and optimizations on mature products to marketing and sales activity.
As the data team continues to grow, you’ll also have an opportunity to help shape and guide its expansion through mentorship and advocacy across the company and develop your career according to on your skill set and inclination.
Tasks You’ll Be Juggling
Working with engineering to implement, document, validate, and monitor our logging and metrics
Exploring data to find actionable insights and make recommendations using funnels, cohort analyses, long-term trends, user segmentation, regression models, and more
Setting up, analyzing, and promoting good practices for multivariate experiments
Synthesizing and communicating insights
Empowering and guiding others to work effectively and efficiently with data are part of your role
Communicating results of analysis to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Working towards creating a data-informed culture at FarmLogs
Your Creds
Required
Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field
3+ years of experience in an industry setting
Fluency in SQL and python, as well as a deep understanding of statistical analysis, experiment design, and common pitfalls of data analysis
Strong communication skills
Track record of upward career mobility
You are a self-starter: You drive projects with minimal guidance and focus on high impact work
You are a strong communicator: You effectively synthesize, visualize, and communicate your ideas to others
You are a critical thinker: You are thoughtful, self-aware, and use available evidence to make decisions
You work effectively with teammates and win credibility quickly
Nice to Have
Background in agriculture
Previous experience working at a startup
Master's Degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field
