Enviva is a seeking a Civil Engineer to perform the following responsibilities:
Support the project on site as needed to ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget.Review all relevant requirements around issues such as building permits, environmental regulations, sanitary design, and safety on all work assignments.Undertake technical and feasibility studies and site investigations.Participate in the tendering process.Review and approve project drawings; Resolve design and development problems.Review and add input to the scheduling of material and equipment purchases.Manage, supervise and visit contractors on site and advise on civil engineering issues.Incorporate change management procedures, and ensure all key stakeholders are notified of changes in the project.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 5 – 10 years’ experience with a combination of office and project field assignments.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, a specialty in Civil Engineering is highly preferred.Proficient in review of site paving and layout, grading and storm drainage, erosion and sediment control and underground utilities.Proficient in engineering calculations from storm water flows (hydrology), erosion control, sewer and underground piping.Ability to listen and respect others while participating in a team environment with coworkers, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers and consultants.Skilled in using computer-aided design (CAD) packages for drawing review.Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteCompensation will consist of a competitive salary and benefits.
