This program is designed as a 24-month (maximum) rotational program for candidates with previous experiences they can use to launch their careers at Arconic forward.

The Mechanical Engineer will be a part of developmental assignments at multiple locations across our Global Rolled Products Business Group. Successful participants of the program will be identified as a successor for critical roles within GRP, and will provide a unique, rewarding career experience.

  • Technical skill areas include: Engineering Calculations, Stress Analysis Technique, & Material Failure Analysis.

  • Willingness to relocate domestically throughout the program

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgical Engineer from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with gearboxes and drive trains
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ferrous roll applications for rolling mills is preferred
  • FEA modeling experience
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
