We're looking for a Project Manager to join us in Edinburgh

  • You'll play a pivotal role in our exciting new strategic technology, Enterprise Service Platform (ESP) which is part of the bank-wide Transformation Programme
  • Join a team who are providing the step-change to a Service orientated Architecture (SOA) approach

What you'll do

As Project Manager, you'll have overall management and oversight of all Platform and Infrastructure implementations required to support the ESP - including tracking, reporting, delivering and timelines. You'll act as an escalation point for the Technical Specialists, including for any change requests that have to be impact assessed that may have implications for the Platform or Infrastructure.

Your remit will also include having:

  • Accountable for the generation of all Platform Designs and the associated deployment of any Platform enhancements required to enable the delivery of Enterprise Services
  • Responsibility for all Programme and Resource Planning activities within the Programme

The skills you'll need

With a strong infrastructure project management background - ideally in a Banking context - and the ability to pick up new technologies and processes quickly, you'll display confidence in managing multiple and large scale projects.

You'll be a committed leader of large teams, able to manage in-house and vendor resources to deliver projects effectively. As the team is large and geographically dispersed, including staff in India, you'll bring experience of working in a multi-cultural, offshore and onsite environment.

To facilitate success in the role, you'll also have:

  • Knowledge of SOA
  • Experience on Waterfall and Agile Methodology
  • A well developed communication style
  • Stakeholder engagements experience
  • Online web customer facing channel knowledge, preferably gained in a financial domain
