As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team the Technical Specialist supports engineering in the development, fabrication and deployment of manufacturing processes and equipment. The technical specialist is also responsible for the maintenance and execution of special manufacturing process in support of sensor and accessory manufacturing.

Work with Respironics Novametrix LLC, a subsidiary of Philips Healthcare and world leader in capnography sensors and related accessories in Wallingford, CT. Our vision is to deliver clinical solutions to our customers, whether indirectly through Original Equipment Manufacturers of medical equipment, or directly to clinical capnography users.
You are responsible for- Producing specialized thick film components to support our sensor manufacturing
- Maintaining the equipment used in the process
- Supporting the development, fabrication and deployment of manufacturing processes and equipment that support our sensor manufacturing operations

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience- Associates degree in Mechanical, Electrical technology, or closely related major
- 3+ years working in a engineering / production technical support role
- Regulated industry experience - medical device, aviation, etc. preferred
- Mechanical aptitude, capable of working with and maintaining pneumatic/hydraulic operated equipment
- Experience with the use and setup of process control equipment, for example, Thermocouple Meters, PID Controllers, Microscopes, etc.
- Experience following process instructions and documenting process outputs using Good Documentation Practices
- Experience analyzing data and making usage decisions based on data
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel
- Experience handling, measuring, and maintaining chemicals
- Prior experience in thick film technology and processing preferred
