Responsibilities:
Individual will act as lab manager for the Ries lab. Duties will include operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, training students in the use of that equipment, conducting and overseeing research experiments, and assisting with preparation of research papers and proposals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in biology,
geology, or related field preferred plus at least
three years research experience in the field of ocean acidification. Experience
with equipment used in ocean acidification research is a plus, including
72-tank culturing array, alkalinity/DIC analyzer, x-ray diffractometer,
electron microscope, light microscope, compression test system, and laser
ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer.
