Keep project on scheduleDevelop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Architect and SubcontractorsWork with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety proceduresMaintain timely and accurate reporting to managementManage, train, and supervise project team according to Company policyOrganize regular meetings for management and subcontractorsReview contract conditions; ensure compliance with all contract termsSupervise documentation of all significant project events, e.g., accidents, delays, ChangeOrders
Direct preconstruction services and activitiesNegotiate, prepare and issue subcontract bid packagesAssist with business development and participate in job interviewsMaintain quality control (integrity and excellence of completed project)Support estimating staff (bid item specialist)Avoid or mitigate claims and conflictComplete all job close-out proceduresConduct warranty follow-up (1-year warranty walks)Complete project with full or enhanced feeComplete other responsibilities as assignedSkills and Experience Requirements:
Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experienceLicensed professional (e.g. architect, civil engineer) is preferred.Field construction management experience (8-10 years, including supervisory skills)Leadership abilityProblem-solving ability and strong sense of urgencyOrganizational and communication skillsDrafting and computer skillsFundamental knowledge of contract law and project accountingThorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)Must have solid technical skills and great written and verbal communication skills.About Swinerton: Swinerton has built a strong reputation as an employee-owned quality contractor.
