The candidate hired for the position of Data Analyst will be responsible for understanding business needs and business requirements for information reporting, consolidating data from 3M systems, conducting data quality checks, and developing global metrics for Healthcare Quality Management systems. The candidate would also be responsible for working with leadership on using the information to drive decision making and ensuring the organization is trained on using the appropriate business intelligence tools and reports.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Leading definition on harmonized global metrics supporting Global Quality Management Systems (QMS) processes.
  • Developing reports to be used that enable transparency of the process performance, decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Conducting data review for technical gaps, and collaborates with Quality Management System or IT to resolve.
  • Participating in change management activities to enable the use of metrics globally for QMS performance.
  • Building strong relationships with Quality, Regulatory and Supply Chain partners.
  • Collaborating with business and IT Master Data Management teams to ensure tools and data support Healthcare Requirements.
  • Supporting training for Divisions and functions to ensure proper use of tools and metrics related to Quality Management System.
  • Leading efforts to reach timely resolution to all issues or questions as needed.
  • Complying with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of seven (7) years combined experience in Data Engineering/Analytics, Quality and/or IT

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Informatics or related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience using the one or more of the following applications: Lotus Notes, SQL, Oracle, BOXI, Access and/or SAP
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a large, highly matrixed organization
  • Strong organization skills and ability to juggle multiple requests
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Flexible attitude and ability to work in a rapidly changing regulatory environment
  • Customer service oriented and desire for continuous improvement
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Relocation: Is not authorized
