Summary

Performs civil and structural design for LNG and other natural gas related facilities

Duties

  • Interface with clients; the development of bid specifications, qualifying, managing and interfacing with subcontractors
  • Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects
  • Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data
  • Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project
  • Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards
  • Directs construction and maintenance activities at project site
  • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.

Qualifications

  • An understanding of the interrelation of civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines on construction projects is a plus
  • Experience in LNG, LPG, and/or natural gas is preferred, but applicable non-gas, industrial or utility experience will be considered
  • Experience with industrial site design and construction
  • MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
  • AutoCAD Civil experience a plus
  • Multi-tasking, manage deadlines
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally, potentially 10%-15% of the time

Education

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE preferred
  • 8-10 years-experience preferred
