Summary:
The Noorda Center for the Performing Arts hosts a full complement of performances, events, and classes. This position assists in preparation of classrooms, labs, and theatre spaces to meet all event needs. Duties include setting up and breaking down equipment and may assist with lighting, sound, stage carpentry, costuming, artist hospitality, and guest services as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent and any combination of support and customer service experience generally related to the essential functions/duties totaling 3 years. Requires a valid driver’s license and university provided defensive driving course.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Knowledge of basic safety rules and procedures.
· Knowledge of working in busy and complex variable environments.
· Experience in music, dance, or theatrical performance helpful, but not required.
· Skills in customer service and basic conflict resolution with a proven ability to work with the broad scope of people involved in event management.
· Skilled in logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
· Ability to read and interpret work orders and event plans to lay out room contents.
· Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
· Ability to learn and maintain a working knowledge of specialty equipment.
Pay Range:
$13.01 to $16.26
