We at Spherion have teamed up with a company local to the St. Augustine Area and we are is looking for an Automation Engineer or experienced technician to join their team! As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation and support of the latest automation controls for automatic and robotic vehicles.

~This position is located in St. Augustine Florida.
~No Relocation package or H-1B / H-2A Sponsorship Available.
Specific Tasks related to the design and delivery of AGVs driverless vehicles
1. Design of AGV automation control systems.
2. Programming and configuring control systems to deliver required functionality.
3. Test and debugging of AGV control systems.
4. Installation, integration and commissioning of AGV systems at customer site.
5. Onsite and remote support of existing AGV systems.
6. Ability to travel (North America and some overseas) about 30% of the time.
Working hours: 8 am - 6 pm
Skills:
The ideal experienced candidate will have a strong background industrial controls, automation and robotics.
Hands on experience in the following is highly desirable:
1.-PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) programming and structured text.
2.-Industry experience working in a plant setting as a process engineer, controls engineer, automation engineer or electrical technician.
3.-Maintenance and support of electrical/mechanical machinery.
4.-Design and development of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
5.-Design and support plant control systems.
6.-AutoCAD.
7.-Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
8.-5+ years working experience in this field
In addition, any experience in the following areas is also desirable:
1.-Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV).
2.-Robotic vehicles.
3.-Knowledge of networking & communications protocols.
4.-Robotic programming and controls.
5.-Experience with C++ and C#
6.-Electric motors and drives.
7.-Strong PC skills.
8.-3D Cad like Solidworks and Inventor.
