Environmental Support role with functions being development, implementation, tracking, and reporting Plant Green Factory Themes in conjunction with Honda North America.
Benchmark internal and external best practices and implement ideas where applicable.
Implement best practice diffusion among manufacturing and business divisions.
Energy management monitoring, target achievement using PDCA (plan, do, check, action) techniques for reporting to teams and upper management.
Compressed Air Leak program lead setting targets, championing program, and supporting team as needed.
Essential Function And Responsibilities
ISO 14001 or ISO 50001 Environmental Management System.
Investigate problems, analyze root cause, and manage environmental plant level needs assuring company level goals are met or exceeded.
Share and help implement NA Green Factory Business Plan objectives and goals.
Reporting monthly on themes, projects, and monthly targets.
Daily Tasks
Collect and Track performance data to support job role.
Manage projects that pertain within job function working within team setting.
Meet with multiple departments to understand needs.
Lead monthly progress meetings.
Supporting and leading multiple departments in conjunction with environmental goals and performance.
Attend department, project, or company directed meetings.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Strong Interpersonal skills with ability to communicate clearly in meetings.
Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to represent Facilities in meeting and with outside customers.
Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office effectively including Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to coordinate and plan activities.
Able to achieve cooperation and support among peers.
Ability to find root cause through logical "why-why" analysis.
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at once.
Required Experience:Minimum 3 months’ experience in manufacturing/environmental area preferred or equivalent mix of education and experience.Education Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related major; or equivalent mix of education and experience.Honda Factors
