Job Description

SHINE Medical Technologies is dedicated to being the world leader in safe, clean, affordable production of medical tracers and cancer treatment elements. SHINE is immediately seeking a Process Engineer (Chemical Engineer) reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

Process Engineer (Chemical Engineer) Responsibilities:

  • Help ensure the safe, efficient, and effective operations of the chemical systems within the SHINE facility
  • Be capable of pulling information from a wide variety of technical inputs and developing overall flowsheets and process flow balances
  • Have knowledge of chromatography processes, overall gaseous system design experience (i.e., piping, valve, and materials selection)
  • Engineer candidate must have gas trapping or treatment process experience
  • Engineer candidate must have experience determining diffusion and off-gassing rates from solutions

Process Engineer (Chemical Engineer) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in process engineering

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls regulations (U.S. Citizen or National, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee). Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug test, fingerprinting, and a criminal background check.
