DescriptionHaley & Aldrich Construction Services, Inc. (HCS) is seeking a Construction Project Controls Manager (PCM) who will be responsible for providing coordination and maintenance of site-specific project controls efforts (planning/scheduling, earned value management, cost analysis and reporting). This position will work on the construction site located in in San Francisco

The PC Specialist will work closely with both the Project Manager to communicate and maintain project documentation regarding the project schedule and costs. The PCM will also assist with change orders, schedule deviations, and serve as liaison between the corporate project controls team members and field management. The PCM will use diversified knowledge of project control activities and draw upon extensive experience and exposure to various types of projects and clients. In addition, the PCM will interface with the financial department, participate in month end closing, develop project specific financial statements, and advise the President of HCS on project performance
RequirementsExperience:
• Six to eight years of experience with project planning and controls, preferably in a remedial or EPC environment;
• BS/MS/MBA degree in Engineering or Business preferred. BS in Construction Management will also be considered.;
• 40 Hour OSHA preferred but will train the correct candidate.
• Prefer CCE or CCC and an active member and participant of the Association of Advancement of Cost Engineers (AACE). HCS will consider hiring a person with the requisite experience if they have obtained both the Certified Cost Technician and Certified Scheduling Technician through the AACE.
• The ideal PCM will have direct cost and scheduling experience with CPM methodology, utilization of Earned Value Analysis in evaluating project progress and utilization of P6. . The ability to use Microsoft Schedule and Linear Scheduling Method is a plus;
• Must demonstrate previous team building, mentoring and effective communication skills with all levels of personnel;
• Leadership potential, as well as familiarity with industry and professional practices is required.
• Ability to travel to construction sites approximately 30% to 40% of the time;
• Understanding of Earned Value Management is required. The ability to utilize and implement earned schedule techniques is a plus.
Responsibilities• Prepare project baseline cost budgets, perform periodic project progress updates, and analyze project performance;
• Responsible for the preparation and over-sight of project schedules and cost reports;
• Prepare project specific financial reports with recommendations for revenue and margin recognition;
• Perform field audits of physical progress;
• At the request of the project team the PC Specialist will assist with the preparation of change order information and claims support documentation;
• Work with both the Project Manager to prepare and submit monthly financial and schedule performance documentation (cash flow schedule, schedule of values, estimate at completion, cost to complete, and the resource-loaded project schedule);
• Review accounting data, and produce, document and report results and trends to project management;
• Develop and implement cost control systems including measurement of earned value.
