Our client, well known fashion retailer company located in New York City is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Finance team. The staff accountant is responsible for general accounting functions and analyzing budget accounts for auditing. The staff accountant must comply with legal regulations, including tax and audit rules. This position is also responsible for preparing financial statements, completing monthly closing procedures, analyze revenues to see whether they are correctly reported, prepare monthly account reconciliations, assist with tax audits, prepare tax returns and write commission reports. The staff accountant may also be responsible for general ledger, journal entries and observe short-term investments.
