Sabancı University invites applications for a full-time visiting instructor specialized in STEM education to provide pedagogical support in a basic integrated science course for freshman students (NS101/102). The course is offered in a student-centered format, where all in-class components take place in active, collaborative learning environment. The contents of the course emphasize scientific critical thinking and scientific literacy discussed through four modules, in which the students probe four open scientific question closely related to our daily life, using basic scientific concepts from physics, chemistry and biology. The course is a part of our core curriculum compulsory for all freshman students, which is coordinated by the FDD.

The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in science education. The selected applicant is expected to provide professional development for the course instructors as well as contribute to course material development, improvement and course evaluations of NS101 or NS102.
