8:30am -5:00pm (academic year)

8:00am – 4:30pm (summer)

Job Description:

The Lubin House Receptionist is the face of Syracuse University’s New York headquarters, the largest regional office for the University. The Receptionist has a wide range of responsibilities with his/her primary functions: answering the main phone line and greeting/accommodating a wide range of visitors. Guests to the House include University Trustees, the Chancellor, Academic Deans, campus visitors, current and prospective students and families, alumni, visitors to the onsite art Gallery and additional guests attending the 500+ programs held in the House each year. The front desk also provides information to our overnight guests and oversees the function of the lobby digital display. In addition, front desk assists the various House departments with event preparation and is responsible for ordering supplies.

Qualifications:

• Solid computer skills (Windows, Microsoft programs, knowledge of Photoshop a plus).

• Good communications skills- written and verbal.

• Experience working with diverse populations.

• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.

Job Specific Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of an associate degree plus experience in an office/customer service environment.
