Job Description:
The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse University is seeking an individual to teach ICC 617 Issues in Media Management during Summer Session II 2019. Class meets Monday-Thursday from 2:00-3:45pm. (3 credits)
Course Description: We are seeking
an adjunct instructor to teach an introductory class in digital media at the
Masters level. This is an intensive reading class and the instructor will be
expected to guide students through the following content areas in concert with
an established syllabus with program-specific learning objectives :
• Introductory network science and scale free network structure.
• Introduction to Schumpeterian economics and the relationship between
financial capital and industrial innovation.
• Tensions between digital technology and legal frameworks based on 19th and
20th century media models.
• Impacts of modern mobile technology on cognition and social dynamics.
In addition, the instructor must
supervise the class as they complete self-paced instruction in Google
Analytics.

Qualifications:
Masters degree required. Preference given to those with previous experience teaching a college-level course, especially at the graduate level.
