Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager for immediate employment in Seattle, WA. The project will be at a client site. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Meets construction management operational standards by contributing to strategic plans and forward thinking

  • Assists with the creation construction procedures to guide construction management staff in meeting project goals and milestones, monitoring and evaluating schedules, identifying variances, tracking and follow up, and implementing corrective actions

  • Assists in preparation of construction monthly progress reports for presentations at team and executive session meetings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing construction data and trends

  • Works with the client, client representatives, staff and management in a collaborative manner within a context of good human relations

  • Monitors onsite construction activities including but not limited to the verification of: materials and equipment on hand, schedule invoices pertaining to materials, progress of onsite construction work and completion dates

  • Conducts job site meetings with the Contractor including weekly progress meetings, quality, scheduling and phasing, payment, and other coordination or field activities as they occur

  • Provides recommendations and documentation regarding: contract disputes, schedule variances, change orders (CO) and propose change orders (PCO), liquidated damages, architect potential errors and omissions

  • Preparation of construction monthly progress reports for presentations at team and executive session meetings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing construction data and trends

  • Receives, tracks, and monitors submittals to and from responding parties

  • Tracks review times to ensure timely and comprehensive response

  • Meets project management operational standards by contributing information on strategic plans and reviews, customer relations issues, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems

  • Provides project progress reports and presentations at client executive session meetings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing construction and budget data and trends

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 8+ years of experience managing design and construction phases of public works projects

  • 5+ years project management experience

  • Knowledge of design management, scheduling, estimating and client management

  • Ability to organize and manage small contractors on very complex projects and coordinate with public agencies

  • Thorough knowledge of engineering and construction principles, practices and procedures, applicable laws and government regulations

  • Ability to use working knowledge of working environment to meet established goals and objectives
