JOB PURPOSE ​
1. The Sharjah Institute for Medical Research (SIMR) is currently recruiting a lab supervisor with analytical chemist background for the pharmaceutical analytical center and the QTOF-MALDI system.
2. The ideal candidate should have a master in bio-analytical chemistry or pharmaceutical analysis with at least three years' experience on analytical method development and validation, drug analysis, drug stability studies, bio-equivalence study, mastering extractions from biological matrixes, natural product analysis, etc.. 
3. The candidate should have experience in writing report and data presentation.
4. Mastering the following equipment's: QTOF-MALDI, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, HPLC, GC, ICP, AAS, etc…
5. Calibrations and standardization of lab equipment's following the standard operating procedures (SOP).
6. Experience in writing standard operating procedure (SOP).

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
​1. Receiving and dealing with samples of different nature and storage them properly.
2. Perform the required type of analysis within reasonable time
3. Optimize the required analytical method whenever is needed.
4. Writing scientific reports and presenting the results of analysis professionally.
5. Maintain the equipment's calibration, routine maintenance, and filling the log book regularly 
6. Communicate effectively and relate to the students
7. Exercise self-discipline and be able to work with little direct supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
​Master degree in Bioanalytical Chemistry, analytical chemistry or pharmaceutical chemistry with a minimum of three years' experience in similar settings
