Summary
Barry University Division of Continuing Education is
currently seeking Instructors to educate, train, and professionally develop
students in noncredit courses. The Instructors will be responsible for
activities directly related to scheduled instruction, including: lecture,
laboratory, clinical, performance and coaching assignments; preparation for
instruction; and student assessment activities. The University seeks to recruit

Essential Functions
We are currently seeking adjunct faculty to add to our
roster of contract faculty for assignments in our training and professional
development programs on an as-needed basis for the following programs:
- Medical
Billing and Coding
- Pharmacy
Technician
- Electronic
Health Records
- Medical
Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
- Project
Management Professional (PMP)®
- Water
& Wastewater Plant Operation
For the following locations:
- Orlando
- Pines
- Miami
Shores
Qualifications/Requirements
Certification and/or degrees in appropriate subject matter
area required. A Bachelor’s degree or above is preferred and professional and
relevant experience in subject matter areas, as well as teaching experience
preferred.
Specific Requirements by Program:
- Medical
Billing and Coding: Must hold certification from either the American
Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) or the American Health
Information Management Association (AHIMA).
- Pharmacy
Technician: Must hold a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
license or a certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license and be licensed
by the State of Florida.
- Electronic
Health Records: Must hold an Electronic Health Records Specialists
(CEHRS) Certification or similar certification or a combination of
relevant experience and credentials.
- Medical
Administrative Assistant: Must hold a Certified Medical Administrative
Assistant (CMAA) Certification or similar certification or a combination
of relevant experience and credentials.
- Water
& Wastewater Plant Operation: A Bachelor’s degree or above is
preferred and professional and relevant experience in subject matter
areas, as well as teaching experience and the required licenses.
- Project
Management Professional (PMP)®: A Bachelor’s degree or above is
preferred and professional and relevant experience in subject matter
areas, as well as teaching experience. Applicants must have earned their
Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification and have PMP® classroom
instruction experience for exam preparation courses and project
management experience (or other minimum required or desirable
qualifications).
