As a Software Engineering Intern at UTC Aerospace Systems you will support development of software requirements, software code and test procedures for embedded Flight Critical Aerospace Systems. Applicants should have an interest in the design challenges of embedded software and possess a basic knowledge of electrical design principles. Good communication and teamwork skills are desired. Job responsibilities include supporting engineers in the following tasks:
Developing software requirements for embedded Flight Critical Aerospace Systems.
Developing and performing high level systems tests on the software product using target hardware with HP logic analyzer, Mil-Std-1553 tools, Arinc-429 tools, RS422 tools, and RS488 controlled equipment
Developing a software design from top-level architecture and customer requirements
Coding the software design in high level language such as C or Ada as well as assembly
Reviewing/evaluating requirements/design, code, and test procedures.
Developing and performing low level tests on the software product using simulator and actual target hardware, using tools such as HP logic analyzer, Mil-Std-1553 tools, Arinc-429 tools, RS422 tools, and RS488 controlled equipment
Use MS Office products (Word, Excel and Access) to assist in the development of software product and documentationQualificationsBasic Qualifications
At least sophomore status or completion of a minimum of 30 credit hours of college coursework.
GPA of 3.0 or above is required.
