Description:
A research team at the School of Nursing and the Clinical Research Institute at the Faculty of Medicine at AUB is seeking a research assistant for a longitudinal study assessing the predictors and consequences of implicit rationing of nursing care (failure in providing adequate nursing care activities). The project involves an interdisciplinary team and engages multiple hospitals in Lebanon and several units within these hospitals. The research assistant will work closely with the project's investigators to complete data entry, data cleaning, data management, statistical analysis, and to disseminate the project's findings. The main component of this work involves researching and applying statistical and epidemiological methods.

Qualifications:
1. Master in epidemiology or biostatistics (MPH candidates with good analytical skills are also invited to apply).
2. Excellent research skills.
3. Experience in conducting statistical analysis.
4. Solid knowledge of statistical software (STATA, SAS, or R preferably, or SPSS).
5. Thorough, meticulous, and ability to work independently.
6. Excellent English skills.

Duties:
Assist the research team in data entry, data management, and data analysis; coordinating the different phases of the project; and writing reports and manuscripts summarizing the findings.

Description:
1. Full time.
2. A one-year contract with the possibility of extension an additional 6 months.
3. Start date: February 1st, 2019.
