The Computational Bioscience Research Center (CBRC) and Computer Science (CS) program of the Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Division at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) invites applications for faculty positions in Data science/Artificial Intelligence/Analytics for life science applications. As the CBRC’s main focus is in development of methods, algorithms, tools and resources in domain of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Deep Learning for generic information integration and applications in Life Sciences, mainly in Health/Medical domains, the candidates with appropriate track record are particularly welcome.

KAUST is seeking accomplished, prominent scholars in the above-mentioned fields, with an impressive track record of accomplishments. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields, as well as a strong publication record in the top-tier venues of their respective areas. They must have demonstrated strong leadership in the field. Successful candidates will be appointed within the CS program and affiliated with CBRC, but will have the opportunity to engage widely with other programs as well as KAUST research centers.

These positions are part of a strategic expansion of KAUST in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to complement existing strengths in Bioinformatics, Supercomputing, and Visual Computing. Additional faculty positions will be available in future years under this initiative. The KAUST Computer Science program offers a unique combination of an intellectually stimulating environment and access to world-class facilities, including KAUST’s 5 Petaflop/s Shaheen-2 supercomputer.
