Milacron is seeking qualified candidates for a Finance Directorposition for our APPT Injection business, located in Batavia, Ohio.

The Finance Director will demonstrate accountability for functional, business and broad divisional objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy while partnering with cross functional teams. As the divisional Finance Director you will be responsible for leading the FP&A teams in critically analyzing and understanding the financial performance of the APPT segment for Milacron. This role requires a good understanding of customers, industry, function and commercial markets. You will lead the development and implementation of an effective operating rhythm to drive the business performance.

Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Proactively work to identify, assess and manage financial risk.
  • Lead the Annual budgeting process/Operation Planning process and the monthly/quarterly forecasting process.
  • Continuously improve the forecasting model to minimize variances between actual and estimates.
  • Monthly/Quarterly P&L and Balance Sheet reporting and commentary of financials to both Head Quarter (HQ) and Operations.
  • Provide analytics to highlight business performance drivers and develop processes to mitigate risks while capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Proactively monitor and control operating expenses though periodic communication with various departments/stakeholders to meet targets.
  • Lead Inventory reporting/forecasting, collaborating with Material Lead.
  • Work with various departments to explore new opportunities to drive cost-out actions and labor productivity year-over year.
  • Initiate simplification projects within finance as well as work with operations to streamline business processes.
  • Partner with Divisional leadership to drive profitable growth and meet divisional targets providing insight and decision making support.
  • Partner with Sourcing & Supply Chain Finance Director to drive Standard margin.
  • Provide financial leadership for the respective business segment in all financial processes such as quarterly closing, financial session planning (AOP, Strategic Planning, and Quarterly Ops Reviews), estimates and project financial analysis.
  • Develop key processes and ensure controls are in place to support a world-class financial operation.
  • Recommend actions to maximize cash and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain an internal control environment in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Identify, develop and promote regional finance talent.
  • Remain knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and all aspects of Milacron’s market.
  • Understand factory volume linkage to commercial volume and drive actions to improve utilization.
  • Lead cross-functional, global teams to get work done.
  • Communicate findings to senior management and to the broader organization.
  • Drive process rigor & standardization across key financial processes including forecasting, planning and reporting, and identify opportunities for improvement and simplification.
  • Consult and collaborate with business owners and finance leaders on appropriate finance and accounting treatment and ensuring consistency with corporate policies.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing (Master's Degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of finance experience, including International markets
  • Strong accounting background, operationally inclined
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced and evolving work environment, in a matrix structure
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience in reengineering finance and business systems, processes and tools and resolve problems
