The Senior Product Manager, Digital Solutions plays a proactive role throughout the entire product life cycle to ensure attainment of revenue objectives for a product or product family. Provides overall strategic leadership, direction and financial management of the product(s) from inception, launch, ongoing operations, feature enhancement through sunset of the product. Product Manager is proactively involved in product planning and design throughout the product lifecycle. Conducts assessments, research and evaluations to determine feasibility of new product ideas and enhancements of existing products. Coordinates the initial stages of new product development and design changes.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Is an expert in the use, design, delivery and execution of digital communications products including SMS, email, PDF, archive solutions and other electronic transactions
  • Understands the unique nature of transactional print in the healthcare, billing and financial markets and can translate the needs of the customers into digital products that will drive the market
  • Assists with the profitability analysis on new product ideas; develops business plans, marketing strategy, pricing strategy, financial and transaction based forecasts.
  • Works closely with Product Delivery and Development to ensure requirements are interpreted correctly in detailed design specifications and in the construction of the product assigned.
  • Manages the design and development of new product ideas and enhancements of existing projects/products; Consults with Product Marketing to develop launch plans, define marketing requirements and ensure key product collateral exists; i.e.: product guides, sales presentations, demo scripts, flash demos, feature comparisons, etc.
  • Manages business partner relationships for modifications or applications of new products and services to meet customer needs; validates and prioritizes requirements including defining benefits and impacts of releases across the organization and for clients.
  • Assesses technology assets and determines ways they can be leveraged.
  • Manages product roadmap(s) to illustrate the vision and key phases of deliverables for the product(s). The roadmap is a plan, not a commitment. Ensure that all departments are prepared for new product releases and all items are completed to launch the product externally, conducts profitability analysis on new product ideas; develops business plans, marketing strategy, pricing strategy, financial and transaction based forecasts.

    Required Qualifications:

    Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, and/or related field required

    Job Related Experience:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in Product Management with a large organization
  • Experience with Digital Product Delivery (email, SMS, Portals, PURLS, etc.)
  • Additional Skills/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and experience in the transactional print market including the financial services, healthcare and biller industries preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop product vision and strategy
  • Ability to build relationships and influence individuals at all levels inside and outside of the company
  • Negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite and project management software
  • Matrix management skills
  • Knowledge of bill payment financial services products and practices
  • Understanding of e-Commerce/Internet technologies
  • Experience in leading change
  • Ability to manage projects with a moderate degree of complexity which requires some conceptualization.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
  • Willingness to “role up your sleeves” and dig into a problem to reach a solution
