Job responsibilities:
1. Assist the Dean of the College of Arts and Science in the implementation of internal and external activities.
2. Assist in planning and execution of internal and external initiatives.
3. Assist in organization of student activities.
4. Oversee and coordinate the dean’s schedule, and coordinate budget within dean’s office.
5. Assist in arrangements for faculty and staff hiring.
6. Prepare for, and attend, meetings of the College Executive Council, including preparation and distribution of agendas and minutes
7. Apprise the dean of issues and needs within the college that need to be brought to the attention of a specific committee, the College Executive Council, the faculty as a whole, and/or other bodies within the university at large.
8. Arrange for the dean’s travel, recruitment trips, conferences, annual advisory meeting and student activities.
9. Maintain day-to-day contact with, and assistance to, faculty and support staff within the College regarding dean’s office business.
10. Maintain day-to-day contact with members of other departments and schools within AUS regarding dean’s office business.
11. Perform other duties assigned by the dean.
