RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods, manufacturability and customer’s specifications
Validate design’s fit, form, and function in accordance with established standards, clearances and testing
Validate a design with hand calculations and CAE
Create test plans and other supporting engineering documentation
Understanding of customer’s needs and manufacturing processes
Understanding of CAD software and revision control process
Support engineering documentation control process
Provide support for engineering designers, sales, marketing and manufacturing
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
2 years of design engineering experience
CAD experience, Creo and AutoCad are preferred
CAE experience, Analysis preferred
