A non-profit association in Creve Coeur is seeking an Entry-Level Accountant to join their team! This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity that pays between $38, 000 - $40, 000 annually, depending on experience. This is an ideal position for a candidate with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or a similar financial field, looking to get their start in an entry level role with a great company!
Job Duties:- Review vendor invoices for accuracy, receive Director's approval, and pay invoice
- Perform a variety of data entry tasks, including entering in daily cash receipts
- Maintain accurate and timely filing of vendor invoices and other accounting files
- Work with vendors and customers to resolve any accounting related issues via phone, email, and chat line
- Assist in preparing financial statements and month-end account reconciliations
- Assist accounting manager with special projects as needed
Requirements:- Associates degree in financial field required, bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-3 years prior experience in an accounting role or previous accounting internship experience highly preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office, including a high level of proficiency in MS Excel
- Familiarity with GreatPlains and/or MS Dynamics required
- Strong data entry skills
- High level of attention to detail required
