We are searching for a Process Control/Automation Engineer to join our client’s growing team.

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment in the Hot Mill and Pickle Lines. The Hot Mill Automation Engineer is considered part of the entire Berkeley team and is required to assist both Production and Mechanical departments as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Strong commitment to safety

2. BS in Engineering or equivalent technical training and experience

SELECTION CRITERIA:

1. Experience with Rolling Mill Models controlling Gauge, Shape and Cooling

2. Experience with High Level Programming Languages such as C

3. Knowledge of Data Analysis Techniques

4. Good work history and attendance records

5. Ability to make decisions without supervision

6. Strong written and verbal communication skills

7. Positive team attitude and strong work ethic

8. Aggressive problem solving skills

9. Supervisor and/or manager recommendation

10. Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations (see the physical demand sheet)
