Job Description:
The Academic Programs Specialist is responsible for internal and external communications related to academic program approvals by the New York State Department of Education (NYSED) and other governmental bodies that certify Syracuse University programs. The Academic Programs Specialist will work with Deans, Associate Deans, Faculty, and other academic administrators to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Academic Programs Specialist will also liaise with governmental regulators to provide required documents and communicate the outcomes of review processes. The Academic Programs Specialist will work closely with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs in advancing strategic planning processes, conducting leadership searches and administering academic support programs at the university.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum three (3) years of managerial experience.
• Experience working in an academic setting highly desirable.
