We currently have an Environmental Engineer position available at our Corporate Headquarters in Boise, ID. SUMMARY

A position in the Corporate Environmental and Regulatory Affairs group accountable for chemical management related (EPCRA and TSCA) requirements and implementation food safety management act (FSMA) rules for animal feed products. Assist with air, wastewater, SPCC, and storm water requirements as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be the company matter expert for EPCRA, TSCA and FSMA matters.

• Provides guidance and counsel to facilities related to EPCRA, and TSCA.

• Responsible to implement FSMA animal feed requirements at the facilities.

• Develop guidance and assessment checklists for the facilities.

• Support facilities with air and wastewater requirements as needed.

• Provide additional regulatory support as needed.

• Monitor, review, comment and incorporate new regulatory requirements that may affect facilities.

• Participates in company-wide assessment program.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Chemistry preferred. Eight plus years related experience and/or training.

• Individual must have experience in environmental compliance at industrial/manufacturing facilities. This includes experience in implementing environmental programs at a facility.

• Expertise and experience in implementing EPCRA rules is essential. Knowledge and experience in meeting TSCA, FSMA and FIFRA requirements is important. Also should have working knowledge of most major federal environmental regulations: CWA, CAA, NEPA, CERCLA, and RCRA..

• Need to be able to understand how changes to rules impact operations.

• Demonstration of project management skills such as planning out work, developing budgets, tracking expenditures, assuring following up assignments and keeping appropriate documentation of activities.

• Communication skills (written and verbal) are essential to discuss issues and potential solutions to operations, company management, and regulators.

• Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.
