We are looking for postdoctoral researchers and engineers in the fields of thermoplastic compounding and thermoplastic composites at Sabancı University Integrated Manufacturing Technologies Research and Application Center & Composite Technologies Center of Excellence, Teknopark İstanbul, 34906 Pendik. The candidate will work in industrial projects about the development of new generation thermoplastic composites and production techniques for innovative application.

General qualifications
-MSc and PhD degree in Polymer Science and Technology, Materials Science and Engineering and Chemistry (priority) 
-Good knowledge in synthesis of carbon and other nanomaterials and their surface chemistry, and integration techniques 
-Having an extensive experience on thermoplastic polymer formulations (engineering polymers), compounding techniques (extrusion,     screw design and masterbatch development), nanocomposite productions by melt processing and materials characterization 
-Project management skills 
-Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English 
-Good team work skills
-Great communication skills 
-Strong Focus on execution and results oriented.

Job Description: 
This person will be responsible for;
-Synthesis and characterization and surface functionalization of carbon nanomaterials 
-Working with wet chemistry techniques 
-Production of thermoplastic nanocomposites by processing techniques by extruders and thermokinetic mixer and their mechanical and   thermal performance evaluation 
-Characterization by SEM, XRD, Raman Spectroscopy, FTIR, DSC, TGA, UTM, rheometer 
-The preparation of scientific reports and the interpretation of results 
-Extent and create new networks.
