DESCRIPTION

We are searching for an individual to serve in the capacity of a full-time Instructor of Education for our Philadelphia cohort in the spring 2020 academic semester. Your responsibilities will include: observing a cohort of up to 15 students in schools in the Philadelphia region; conferring with mentor teachers; assessing student work; attending monthly supervisor meetings at University Park via Zoom or similar platform; conducting a weekly seminar for your cohort of students; adhering to course syllabus provided; holding three-way assessment conferences with each student and mentor at mid-semester and at the end of the experience; and recommending a final grade for the course. Either certification in the specific teaching area or certification as a school administrator is required; five (5) years of successful teaching or administrative/supervisory experience in basic education and experience in supervising student teachers are strongly preferred.
