Arconic’s (formerly Alcoa) Dover, NJ facility has an immediate opening for an Environmental Engineer. This position is a key member of the location’s leadership team and is highly visible position in the plant and the Arconic Power and Propulsion (APP) Business Unit.
APP is a world leader in the investment casting of super alloys, aluminum and titanium products and is a leading supplier of structural components for the aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, and industrial gas turbine markets. The Dover location is increasing its labor force and implementing significant capital investment to accommodate customer demand and the rapid growth in the aerospace jet engine market. Administer EHS Policy and ensure environmental conformance with federal, state and local regulations.
Provide regulatory interpretation, permitting and technical support to comply with New Jersey air pollution, water pollution and waste regulations.
Plan, define and lead technical projects related to pollution prevention, waste minimization, waste management and hazardous material remediation.
Ensure necessary documentation is maintained.
Address audit findings, changes in processes, or new regulations.
Publicize and communicate environmental issues to employees.
Develop training programs on environmental issues.
Establish working relationships and rapport with regulatory agencies.
Manage environmental vendors.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and related regulations and procedures
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving and human relations skills.
Ability to make difficult decisions, sometimes with an incomplete set of data.

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 5 years of Environmental Engineering experience
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder')
