The College of Pharmacy is the first and only pharmacy degree program in the State of Qatar. The College offers 5-years BSc (Pharmacy), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), 2-years MSc (Pharm) degree and PhD programs. Our program is the first international program to be accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) and partners with local and international education and health care institutions to support its academic and research mandates. The College of Pharmacy, Qatar University invites applications for a full time faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level beginning August 2019. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. The successful candidate will teach and coordinate courses inbothundergraduate and postgraduate courses.2. The successful candidate will establish an active independentresearchprogram that incorporates undergraduate and graduate research.
3. In addition, the candidate will engage ininterdisciplinarycollaboration with other colleges under the QU HealthCluster (includingthe College of Medicine, College of Health Sciences)in both teachingand research.
Qualifications
1. Minimum requirements include a PhD degree with an appropriateresearch background.2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. The candidate must have a strong research record commensurate withtherank sought as evidenced by publication in reputablepeer-reviewedinternational journals.
4. Candidates with a research experience in the area of Biostatisticsandat least 5 years of teaching experience with documentedaccomplishmentsin research and service are preferred.
5. A research portfolio that complements the existing researchstrengthsestablished by the Qatar University Health Cluster according totheQatar 2030 Vision is preferred.
