deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an experienced M&S Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.
Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to provide modeling and simulation development support on existing M&S software in an object oriented C++ development environment. The developer will also create new analysis tools using Python and migrate existing Matlab based analysis tools to Python for use by the M&S analysis team. Will work with the prime contractor's technical team of engineers, developers, and analysts through an agile development process to ensure that developed capabilities meet requirements.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics.
Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess 3+ years of experience in developing modeling and simulation software in a BMDS or DoD environment. Experience with Python and C++ is required. Experience working within an agile development process is also required.
Special Skills Desired:
Prior experience with Matlab is a plus. Experience using model-driven test concepts and/or SysML is desirable. Prior experience in the areas of data science and/or analytics is a plus.
